Our Story
Lighthouse Kids has a pretty fun backstory! It all began in 1998 when my amazing grandmother opened up Lighthouse Kids Inc Daycare Center in Channahon, Illinois. Her daycare quickly became loved by the community, where thousands of “Lighthouse Kids” had their first adventures and made lots of happy memories.
Growing up surrounded by all that fun and laughter was awesome, but I realized that while childcare was Grandma’s true passion, I had a different vision. I wanted to take her wonderful legacy and give it a fresh twist. So, I came up with the idea of a playroom—a place where kids can unleash their imagination, have a blast, and make even more great memories.
With the new Lighthouse Kids, my hope is to create a place where kids can keep having fun and creating joyful experiences. Here’s to many more “Lighthouse Kids” and endless fun ahead!
